Reset Site
If you need to reset your site, you have the following options:
-
Start from scratch. Previously named "Complete Reset", this allows you to build a completely new site from scratch. Keep the following in mind:
-
The Email field in Business Info is not reset. The email will be retained in the new site and will be used in any contact form widgets.
-
If your site has a store, you can only select from templates with the same store type. It is important to note that your current store's data and configurations will be overwritten by the new store template. This results in complete data loss from your current store.
-
Site stats are retained and not reset for the new site.
-
-
Keep data and settings. Switch the template on your site and keep existing content. Save the content you have on the site in the Content Library (business info, business text, business image), all uploaded site images, store and blog content. This option is great for those who want to upgrade their site design, but keep existing content and images. With connected templates and connected data you can even auto-populate the widgets of the new site.
Keep the following in mind:
-
Keep data and settings reset is only supported for the same editor type. For example, if your site uses a Classic Editor template you cannot reset it to a Editor 2.0 template.
-
If your site has a store, you can only select from templates with the same store type. Your existing store will remain intact, including orders, customer information, and store settings.
-
Note
-
Your site subscription is saved for your site in both types of resets. Neither reset type allows you to save existing pages, data placed on the site directly (for example, via widgets or in Developer mode) or site theme options.
-
If you have a third party store with Store Pages and select a template without a store, the store will break and your site data will not be retained.
