Last updated: 14 October 2026
Wright Websites ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information about you when you use our website, engage our services or communicate with us. We are the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information we collect
We may collect and process:
- Identity and contact data: name, email address, telephone number, organisation name and job title.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, time zone and device information.
- Usage data: how you use our website and services, including pages visited.
- Contract and transaction data: details of services or shop products you have purchased or enquired about, and correspondence with us.
- Tool data: the URL or business details you submit to WebCheck™, WebPolicy™, WebLocal™ or WebVuln™, plus the results, so we can email your report.
How we collect your data
We collect personal data through direct interactions (forms, email, phone and contracts), automated technologies when you use the site, and processors listed below. To greet you on the home page, our host estimates your town from your IP address when the page loads. We don't store or log it.
Processors
We use these processors to run the site and fulfil orders: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and file storage), Stripe (payments) and our SMTP email provider. We do not sell your personal data.
Free tools
If you ask for the full report from a free tool, we attach that run's results to your quote request and keep them with it. We use them only to reply to you, never for marketing lists.
Shop and accounts
Client accounts on the old site have closed. Shop purchases use guest checkout. We keep the email, order and download records needed to deliver your files and handle refunds.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent where processing is consent-based. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Contact websites@wrightwebsites.co or +44 3309 123 452.
